According to Wright, Jeremiah Richardson who married Susannah Church was "probably" the son of Jacob Richardson and Temperance Scull, who were married in 1740. Jacob lists a son Jeremiah in his will[1]
Jerimiah Richardson of Cape May & Susannah Church received a marriage license on 8 September 1774.[2]
Jeremiah was an executor of his father's estate in 1777.[3]
Marriage record for his supposed parents (frequently repeated, but haven't seen sources yet): Temperance Scull and Jacob Richardson, both of Cape May, were married in 1740.[4] Based on their marriage, his DOB as after say 1740. Possibly Temperance is a descendant of Pieter Scull...?
If he died in 1818, here are possible NJ inventory records for men named Jeremiah Richardson. I suspect the 1820 record is his; will check State Archives.
