Biography

Billerica town records indicate there was an Indian attack near Fort Dummer, in what is now the town of Brattleborough, VT., in May and june of 1747. "A squad of 12 men from Capt Josiah Willards company, on their way to Fort Dummer, were ambushed and taken hostage, in which Joseph Richardson and 2 others were scalped/killed.[1]
