Arnold W. Richardson, 80, of Cheyenne died Jan. 27 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
He was born May 12, 1922, in Hamer, Idaho, and had lived here since 1995.
Mr. Richardson had worked as a policeman, farmer and rancher.
He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II in the South Pacific and was awarded a Purple Heart.
Mr. Richardson was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by a son, Arnold B. Richardson of Cheyenne; a daughter, Margaret A. Wilt of Cheyenne; two brothers, John Richardson of Denver and Billy Richardson of Corvallis, Mont.; three sisters, Eva Thompson of Warner Robbins, Ga., Hazel Nelson of Yakima, Wash., and Margaret Grogan of Port Orchard, Wash.; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Richardson on Dec. 19, 1999; his parents, Jabez and Verrile Richardson; two brothers, Edward Richardson and Russell Richardson; and a sister, Mabel.
