Hi!

Congratulations, you've been a WikiTree member for a month! We're glad you're here. A few tips to help you dive in even deeper:

Check out Beyond the Basics of WikiTree for a guide on some of our more advanced features such as Projects, Categories, and Merging.

We're very active on our social sites and we have an excellent blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community.

And we're always looking for volunteers to assist in different ways.

As always, I'm here to help if you have any questions!

Hello Victoria,

I hope you're enjoying WikiTree.

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree. Be sure to look for Duplicates before adding a profile, and always include Sources for your information.

The Help Index covers topics you may have questions about.

Our G2G Forum is where many of our generous members help each other out.

Visit our "Weekend Chat". Say hello, introduce yourself and see what other members are up to right now! http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/161703/weekend-chat-all-members-are-invited-3-4-july-2015

Of course, I'm here to help in any way I’m able.

p.s. you might be interested in WikiTree's Puritan Great Migration project. And Jamestown doesn't currently have its own project (but it's on the list). It also has a category.

Welcome Victoria!

I'm glad you found us. To become a full member (aka Wiki Genealogist), you’ll need to sign the Honor Code. For a list of helpful links, click my name and check out the "Greeter" section-especially the Sources links and the link to my fellow greeter Debby, who has helpful information on her profile page also.

If you get stuck on anything and can't find an answer in WikiTree Help or How to Use WikiTree, you can post to G2G or give me a holler.

Thank you for joining our collaborative tree! Remember that our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please look for duplicates before adding a profile.

Enjoy!

I am researching family member's trees, I enjoy it, but am not an avid researcher. Right now, I am researching 7 trees.

I do have some hand written genealogical records of families I would like to download for this site. It lists the lineage of many generations of early Americans. These records helped me find out I have a Jamestown and Mayflower relative. This information proved to be correct when I put it into my Ancestry.com account - and I was able to provide new information to that site. These pages might be helpful to other people, though quite tedious to read.
