I have Mercy/Marcy Rickard Tilson as the daughter of John Rickard (1657-1712) and Mary Cooke (1657-1715) Name Marry Rickard Event Type Birth Birth Date 14 May 1687 Birth Place Plymouth, Massachusetts Father Name John Rickard Mother Name Mary also https://pilgrimhopkins.com/lineageHome.php?pafg04.htm#55 43. Mary Cooke (Damaris Hopkins , Stephen ) was born on 12 Jan 1657 in Plymouth, MA. She died on 28 Apr 1712 in Plymouth, MA.

Mary married John Rickard in 1678 in Plymouth, MA. John was born on 24 Nov 1657 in Plymouth, MA. He died on 25 Apr 1712 in Plymouth, MA. They had the following children: John Rickard was born on 26 Feb 1679, Mercy Rickard, John Rickard, Mary Rickard was christened in 1688, Esther Rickard was born in Apr 1691 in Plymouth, MA. She died on 26 Jun 1713 in Plymouth, MA, Elizabeth Rickard, James Rickard also Mayflower Births and Deaths, Vol. 1 and 2 for John Rickard Volume 1 page 333 (345) on Ancestry. This tells me that this needs more research or the two John's are still being confused and mixed together. And according to North America, Family Histories, 1500-2000 J Jennings A genealogical history of the Jennings Families in England and America : In three volumes - Vol 1 page 627 -John Rickard (1652-1726) was married posssibly not definite Mary Snow and his children are Mary Rickard 1677–1711, John Rickard 1681–, Joseph Rickard 1682–1707, Abigail Rickard (Whiton) 1684–1740, Mary Rickard (EddY) 1687 (question this since would not have two daughters named Mary), Lydia Rickard {Tilson) 1689–, Joanna Rickard (Dunham) 1691–, and Rebecca Rickard (Pratt) 1699– Since both had daughters born in 1687 they may also be being confused. But Mary daughter of John Rickard and Mary ?Snow married FNU Eddy. And yes some records have John Rickard 1652 married to Mary Cooke. So I guess my dilemma is whodoes Mary/Marcy/Mercy belong to?
