Mary Thornton Ricketts was born in 1746, in Anne Arundel, Maryland, British Colonial America as the daughter of Nicholson Ricketts. She married William Duke before 1765, in Anne Arundel, Maryland, British Colonial America. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 5 daughters. She died in 1838, in Fairfax, Culpeper, Virginia, United States, at the age of 92.

Unsourced children are John (Duke-100) born 1804 and Delila (Duke-93) born 1788 Mary was born in 1746. She was the daughter of John Ricketts and Mary Mobberly. She passed away in 1838.
