There is no documentation of a middle name of "Anthony"; middle names did not become common until about 1850. In Virginia, prior to the Rev. War, only 3% of the population had middle names. By 1800 middle names were gaining some popularity. Unless acceptable documentation arises, Thomas Ricketts, Jr. will not be shown with a middle name.
Thomas was born 20 Sep 1685 at South River Hundred, Anne Arundel, Colony of Maryland, British Colonial America. The son of Thomas Anthony Ricketts and Margrit Frances Evans. Thomas passed away in 1773 at South River, Anne Arundel, Maryland, United States. He is buried at the All Hallows Chapel Cemetery, Davidsonville, Anne Arundel County, Maryland.[1]
