He was a career policeman. He and his wife lived at 2053 Broad Street, Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, USA, from 1926 (or earlier) until his death. The cause of his death was a cerebral hemorrhage due to hypertension. He is buried at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
