Matilda was born about 1803. Matilda Riddle ... The marriage to John appears to have ended by 1850.
Research Notes
Mary is unlikely to be the same person (Matilda Ellen Riddle) who married John in 1825 since she would have only been at most 9 years old then. However she may well be Polly who appears in the1850 census, but the marriage of John & Mary is proving elusive.
The 1860 Census probably doesn't show Matilda -- if she died in about 1849, she would not be on the 1860 census. In addition, the given name for John Honea's wife is listed as "Mary"; perhaps he remarried?
