A.K.A. Grandpappy. His birth father was Thomas Anthony Riley, who died when G.A. was 2 years old while duck hunting on the Iowa River. G.A. was later adopted by Frank DeWayne Jenkins (formally?) in Valentine, Nebraska.
In Sept. of 1901,“Dr. Allen Jenkins, then of Lost Creek, was taken to Chicago by Dr. Ralph Early of Albia where he underwent successful surgery for appendicitis.”
