Biography

Reuben was born in 1863. He was the son of John Riley and Catherine Reynolds. ^[1]

He passed away in 1943. ^[2]

After his death in Queensland late 1943, the following appeared in the press in NSW: ^[3]

It is with regret we record the death of Mr, Reuben Riley of "Iona" Goomeri (Queensland) on 18th December last, at. the age of 80 years. He leaves a family of four sons and two daughters, 25 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. The late Mr. Riley, who had resided at Goomeri for 15 years, was well known in the Warialda district, having lived on a property near Gineroi about 30 years. He was buried in the Goomeri cemetery alongside his wife, who passed away five years ago.
