Name

What was Mary Ann's name at birth? There is currently two possible surnames for Mary Ann: Ritchie as given in her marriage record and Samuels as given on the death record of her daughter, Athalinda Taylor. The death record of her son, David Andrew Kelley gives her maiden name as Richey. And the death certificate of her daugher, Rebecca L. Hoover gives her last name as Ritchie. More research needs to be done to determine if her last name is Ritchie (or any of the various spellings) or Samuels.

John and Sarah Land and family.
Samuel and Ella Kelly and family.

Burial

Dixie and Bear Creek Cemeteries -- yes I know the headstone says she was born in 1860. The stone cutter made an error and it was never fixed. She was originally interred in the Bear Creek Cemetery. When the Keystone Dam was built her body was reinterred into it's current burial plot in the Dixie and Bear Creek Cemeteries. When the new stone was ordered the wrong date was cut into the stone.

Parents

Some researchers claim she is the daughter of Robert Richey and Elizabeth Gwin; others claim she is the daughter of David Samuels and Elizabeth Elliott. More research needs to be done to determine if either set (or another) are her parents. There is currently no documentation to prove (or disprove) the parental links (10-9-2021).

Mary Ann (Ritchie) Kelley is my 3rd great-grandmother. Does anyone have any documentation (i.e. birth records, baptism/christening records, anything other than family trees on ancestry or familysearch, etc.) showing who her parents are?
