Biography

Joseph Rivard was born on April 10, 1750 in Batiscan, Trois-Rivières, Canada, New France. His parents were François Rivard and Thérèse Papilleau. [1]

He married Marguerite Hebert on September 26, 1774.[2] Together they had at least 4 children including:

  1. Marie Marguerite Rivard[3]
  2. Charlotte Rivard
  3. Marie Rivard
  4. Françoise Rivard

He died on February 14, 1802 in Varennes, Surrey, Lower Canada.[4]
