Frederick Rivers was paid for 36 days of service. There is on record in the State Historical Commission Office, Columbia, SC a receipt signed by Frederick Rivers for two pounds, eleven shillings, and five pence sterling for 36 days in the militia in 1782 as per account No. 126068. Frederick Rivers was born in 1740, in England. Frederick served as a Private, during the American Revolutionary War and died February 20, 1820, in Chesterfield, South Carolina. Frederick is honored for his military service as DAR Ancestor #A096507. DAR records indicate that Frederick's wife's name was Mary Boatwright. Applications for membership in the Society of the DAR have been made by the descendants of their daughter, Nancy Rivers, who married Thomas Davis; and of their son, Frederick Rivers, Jr. who married Sara Ann Hurst.
