Rev. Roy R. Roach, 85, of Clovis, NM, died Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 11, 2010, at The Chapel, 1500 Thornton, with Rev. Dan Pearce and Cory Brand officiating. Burial will follow at Field Cemetery in Field, NM. Pallbearers include Darryl Roach, Gerryl Roach, Larry Hughes, Charles Robinson, Audie Roach, Nathan Richardson, Glen Wortham, and Lewis Holland. Our church family will be honorary pallbearers. Rev. Roach was born January 1, 1925, to Homer and Ina (Twilly) Roach in Field, NM. He married Eunice Faye Edmonston, May 12, 1946, in Field, NM. He served as a minister for 62 years. Serving in Field, Endee, House, Lovington, Monument, NM, Midland, TX, Harlingen, TX, Portales, Forrest, Heights Baptist Church in Clovis, Calvary Baptist Church in Portales, and Prince Street Baptist in Clovis. He worked as the Supervisor of the Cabinet Shop in Midland School System for 10 years. Survivors include his wife, Eunice of the home; two daughters, Billie (Carrol) Brand of Denver, CO, and Sherryl (David) King in Austin, TX; three brothers, Lee Roach of Farwell, TX, Robert Roach of Hobbs, NM, and and Otis Roach of Clovis, NM; two grandchildren, Cory Brand and Monica Ivester, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Ina, and a sister, Ruth Carter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prince Street Baptist Church, 413 N. Prince, Clovis, NM 88101. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home
