Ernest Roach was born on 6 September of 1883 in Medora, Jackson, Indiana. His parents were Drury L Roche and Serada Jackson.[1] Little is known of his life and adventures, between Indiana and his arriving in the Susiun Valley in 1914. In 1910 he is living in Deerfield Ohio [2]
He married Anna Siebe 14 on July of 1917 in San Francisco. [3] Ernest also registered for the draft in 1917,[4] but find no records of his serving. He was a rancher until taking a superintendent position with the Susiun Water Dept in 1937.
Ernest died of cancer on 18 September of 1941 in Suisun City, Solano, California.[5][6] Soon all three sons would enlist to serve in WWII, leaving Anna to begin her live of living alone for the 25 years.
