Elizabeth Catherine Robart (Robar) was born September 9, 1741 at Étobon. Punch lists her as the daughter of Joshué Robert.[1]
The record of her having "emigrated from Montebeliard and arrived in Halifax, NS on the ship 'Betty' in 1752." (from Passenger lists for ships carrying "Foreign Protestants" to Nova Scotia. Ship named the "Betty..." is being researched. Jim O'Connor, in his research, makes the statement that she is listed as a "passenger on the Betty, along with her brother Joshua and widowed mother, Jeanne Robert".[2]
Punch notes that 11 children were born to Ann Catherine Robert. The first child, Elizabeth born, November 20, 1759, is listed in this source as having the surname Robert but is considered one of the 11 children of Christophe James Vienot.
Elizabeth was born in 1741. She passed away in 1812.
Her father is listed in Montbéliard migration to Nova Scotia as Joshué Robert.[3]
Entry for Robert from the Betty, 1752:
This is probably her father and she was with the family on the "Speedwell", not the "Betty". There is more information of her father's profile Robar-12.
