Biography

Born in Cluny, Aberdeenshire in 1859^[1].

In the 1861 Scottish Census he is one year old, living with his mother and her older brother Robert in Quinoch, Cluny, Aberdeenshire. Alexander is marked as nephew of the head of the household, Robert. His parents married in 1865.
