Probate
The will of Samuel Robbins of Middleborough was dated 6 July 1776 and proved on 7 July 1776 in Plymouth. He mentions his wife Sarah (executor with Bezelah Thomas), and his children, David Robbins, Elizabeth Robbins, Sarah Robbins, Zaraiah Robbins, Hannah Robbins, Samuel Robbins, John Robbins, Abel Robbins, and Thomas Robbins. He willed that Bezelah Thomas be the guardian of his children. His inventory was taken on 2 August 1776 in Middleborough.[1]
In 1784, an account of his estate by his widow Sarah was recorded which included provisions for the family, debts paid, and administration fees.[2]
