No father listed on Baptism record, however there is a good chance that Charles Tufts is the father of him and at least most or all of his siblings. His mother Elizabeth was listed in multiple census' as the housekeeper/labourer to the man and finally legally married him 1871 after a total of 8 children.

Grandson Delbert says that he changed his last name from Robinson to Roberson because of, '...too many mail problems! There were lots of Robinsons in the area.'

13 January 1857 Robert Robinson or Roberson^[1] was born in Shipdham, Mitford, Norfolk.^[2][3]

11 May 1877 Robert Robinson (20) was baptised at All Saints' church Shipdham, Norfolk. His mother was Elizabeth Robinson a spinster.^[4]

13 October 1877 Robert Robinson or Roberson^[5] of full age, bachelor, labourer, married Betsy Fitt a minor, spinster, daughter of Philip Fitt, labourer, in Shipdham, Mitford, Norfolk. The witnesses were George Fitt and Mary Stebbings.^[6]
