Biography

Mary is the first born child of Allen and Sarah Mallory Roberson. During the Civil War in 1860 US Census, she is found along with her three children living in the home of her parents, Allen Roberson. Her name is Mary Morgan, age 36.

After 1860, she later marries Hezikiah Manning. Mr Manning lost his first spouse, Elizabeth Burns Gober in 25 May 1862. He married Mary very shortly afterward and they combined their families. Mary Morgan's children by her first husband kept their last name which is recorded in the 1870 census.
