Donald Roberts, 86, of Scott Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Sunday at the Hampton House, Hanover Twp.
He was born in Forty Fort on March 2, 1919, a son of the late William D. and Ellen Thomas Roberts. He was a graduate of Kingston High School. Mr. Roberts was an Army Air Corp veteran, serving during World War II. He was formerly employed as a sales agent for the Columbia Porch Shade Co., Inc.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Carter Roberts. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Silverman, and by his brothers, Fred, William, and Earl Roberts.
Surviving are sisters, Helen Long, Kingston; Marian Berkey, Meadville; one niece and three nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 11 in the Chapel of Oak Lawn Cemetery, 1250 S. Main St., Hanover Twp., with the Rev. Patrice Goodwin, pastor of the Albright United Methodist Church, officiating. Friends may call Wednesday morning from 10:30 to 11 at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
