Eliza Roberts is a part of US Black heritage.
Eliza was born about 1827. Liza "Eliza" Roberts was the matriarch of the "Black" Roberts families. Family history reports that Liza was a slave woman of Indian and African descent.
Liza's owners were the Caucasian Roberts family of San Augustine, Texas.
She is credited with having nine children: Joanna Roberts Price, Susan Roberts, Martha Roberts Price, Henry Roberts, Celia Roberts Reed, Anna Roberts Cook, Oliver James Roberts, John Wiley Price and Mays Jerrymays Price. .. She passed away after 1876.[1]
