Biography
- It has been very hard searching this family as there were two Roscoe M Roberts living in the same neck-of-the woods born about the same time. Roscoe Matthew Roberts is the son of Charlie Hamilton Roberts who is the son of James Madison (Matt) Roberts & Katie Cones. James Madison is the son of Joseph Roberts and Rebecca Warren and a brother to Jacob R. Roberts the father of Roscoe's father Leffie L. Roberts. Anita Paxton the g grandaughter of Roscoe Matthew helped me get them straight.

- 1940 Census, listed as R. M. age 39, Annie Jane age 39, with Preston age 16, Loverne (Laverne) age 14, Annie Louis age 12, Bobbie Hazel age 10, and in hh with them was Annie Jane's widowed father listed as L C Box age 80, and Cleveland Brown age 56 (don't know who he was).
- He is buried in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Simpson County, Mississippi.
