All I know abut J. C. Roberts is from his half-sister, Mary Kathryn Roberts Garner. She said he is buried in the Siloam Cemtery without a marker and she piled rocks and cinder blocks to mark his grave.
His obit found by Myrtis Jane said he had a daughter Louise Stephens.
I was unable to find her on a census record but found her on application for Social Social Security Card, with address Magee, Simpson County, Mississippi, which had her born 3-01-1928, lited her father j. C. Roberts and mother Eva B. Cook. Then on Eva B. Cook's application had her husband J. C. Roberts and child Louise Roberts.
Social Security Death record had Louise R. Stephens. born 3-01-1927, and died 9-27-1990, It stated her last address as 39212, Jackson Hinds County, Mississippi. It also stated in year 1944, her name Louise Roberts. In May 1955 her name Hertha Louise Stephens, and October 1990, Louise R. Stephens. That's what it had, but she died in September,1990, I don't understand the October date. Should anyone enlighten me, please advise. Could not find Cemetery record.
After much searching, I found a 1930 Census record New Orleans, Louisiana, I believe is J. C. Eva and Louise. They and others were lodgers in the hh of Charles Hopkins 65 and Bertha 64, both born Texas. J. C. was listed as James Roberts 27, b Ms. mother and father b Ms. Eva 22, b Ms. her mother and father b Ms. and Louise age 2, b Ms.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with J. C. by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with J. C.:
