Biography

Alonzo Penzion Roberts was born in 1879. He was the son of Jackson H. Roberts and Amanda America Walling. He passed away in 1959 at age 80.

Alonzo Penzion Roberts first married Rachel Grissom on July 13, 1900 in Van Buren County, Tennessee. The bondsman was H. L. Walker. The ceremony was performed by G. H. Clark, Justice of the Peace. They had no children, and Rachael passed away in 1906-1908.

Alonzo Penzion Roberts second married Myrtle Lee Poore on May 16, 1909 in Bledsoe County, Tennessee. The bondsman was J. Colvard. The ceremony was performed by T. L. Simmons, Justice of the Peace. The marriage record lists Myrtle's last name as PORE. They had the following children -
