John Roberts of "Woolston, Wooster" was the father of Thomas Roberts, an apprentice of the London Fishmongers Guild.[1][2]

Research Notes

This John Roberts (1571-1615) profile was created to represent the John Roberts of Woolston who is named as father of the apprentice "Thomas Roberts" in a record from the Fishmongers Guild of London from 1615.[1]
We observe that John Roberts (1571-1615) profile currently associates John's son, "Thomas Roberts the fishmonger", with Thomas Roberts Sr. (abt.1600-aft.1673), without evidence and possibly in error.
We observe that John Roberts (1559-1615) was also created to represent the father of "Thomas Roberts the fishmonger", Thomas Roberts (abt.1590-).
Please see the Research Notes in the profile of Thomas Roberts Sr. (abt.1600-aft.1673) for further discussion.
We have no reason to believe that this John Roberts has any relation to John Roberts esq (1526-bef.1547), who has been proposed as the grandfather of Thomas Roberts Sr. (abt.1600-aft.1673).[3]
The birth date and location are not supported by sources.

The Woolaston Gloucestershire register begins 1587 but earliest dates are in poor (nearly all illegible) condition, some pages missing. Reviewed 14May2021 via ancestry.com

The Bristol register (bapt and marriages for year 1627, then register starts again at 1671 is available at familysearch.org https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/541904?availability=Family%20History%20Library Bristol is not on ancestry.com offering of registers.

After more review (and reading thru Robertsofwoolaston.blogspot.com), it appears that Roberts-6792 was perhaps the *son* of Roberts-6484. I'll reset this to a rejected match based on that.
