Obituary from unknown newspaper reads as follows: RITES TODAY FOR EDUCATOR JOHN ROBERTS Services will be held today (Monday) for John L. Roberts, retired coordinator in the Child Welfare Department of the San Francisco Unified School District. Mr. Roberts, 68, died Saturday at his home, 1651 40th Avenue. Born in Malad, Idaho, he joined the San Francisco Department of Education in 1937 and its Child Welfare Department seven years later. He was a psychologist, a member of the American Personnel and Guidance Association and past president of the Co-ordinating Council on Mental Retardation. Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Therma, and by two daughters, Mrs. James Hawes of New Orleans and Carolyn Roberts of Ricks College, Rexburg, Idaho. Noon services will be held today (Monday) at the Sunset Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 22nd Avenue and Lawton streets. Interment will be in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park. The family prefers donations to Primary Children's Hospital, the Log Cabin Ranch School, Aid to Retarded Children, or any agency for the handicapped or delinquent.

He is not in Malad with his family in 1910. I read the 1910 Malad census and can find them. There was one Roberts family but it was not them. I don't know where they were.
