ROBERT ROBERTS, b. in Wales, 7th November, 1673; d. 11th November, 1728. Married (firstly) in Merion, Pa., CATHERINE JONES, d. 13th May, 1697; M. (secondly) 3d December, 1703, PRISCILLA JOHNS, b. 21st. March, 1681-2, d. 1st. April, 1725, dau. of Richard and Elizabeth (KENSEY) JOHNS.[1]

Friends’ Intelligencer and Journal Philadelphia 1896. "Priscilla, the oldest daughter, married Robert Roberts, in 1703, the son of Hugh Roberts, of Philadelphia, from whom many of this name are descendants. Robert Roberts was a minister in the Society, and traveled extensively in the cause of truth. He visited England with a minute from Cliffs Meeting, in 1719." [2]
Prerogative Court Wills Liber 14/532: "And whereas I formerly made an agreement with my son-in-law, Robert Roberts for the plantation & parcel of land whereon he now dwells being 200 acs. of land the south side of a tract of land called Greys Chance lying upon the Clifts aforesaid, but the same was never as yet made over to him I do therefore by this my last will give the said 200 acs. of land and plantation part of Greys Chance to him my son-in-law Robert Roberts & his heirs forever. I also freely acquit and discharge him from the balance of all or any accounts that may be due from him to me."[3]
