George Robertson, in Balcony, farmer, married before 1699, Christian, daughter of Hector Douglas, V. of Mulderg, and had issue... George Robertson was apparently living at the time of the death of his son, Robert, as he is not called "late" in the following inscription for a monument written by the Rev. Gilbert Robertson of Kincardine :

Robertson, son to George Robertson, in Balcony,
a pious and judicious youth, who departed
this life, June 29, 1723.
As for me I will behold Thy face in righteousness.
