Biography

David Robertson was born in 1764. After he married Margarita Macdonald he honoured her family by adding her surname to his own, so they and their descendants were henceforth called the "Robertson-Macdonalds".

David Robertson-Macdonald was listed in the 1841 census at Edinburgh, age 75.

He died in 1845, weeks before his 81st birthday, and was buried at Greyfriars Kirkyard, Edinburgh.
