Anne was born in 1772 and was baptised on 20 August 1772 in Rhynie and Essie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. She was the daughter of Joseph Robertson and Agnes Pirie.^[1]

Anne married William Petrie (1768 - ~1847) in January 1798 at Kinnethmont, Aberdeenshire. At the time of the marriage she was residing at Bush of Rhynie.

In 1841 Anne (age about 68) was living in Roadside, Kinnethmont, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. SCT1841/212 Place: Kinnethmont -Aberdeenshire Enumeration District: 2 Under name of PETRY, Ann age 70 is with husband Will age 70 crofter and Agnes age 30, Elizabeth age 25. Also present is James Martin age 3^[1]

In 1851 Anne (age about 78) was living in Law, Kinnethmont, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. She died 8 December 1862 at Roadside of Law of Old Age and Gradual Decay
