John Richard Robertson was born April 22, 1839, he was the son of William Robertson and Margaret Unknown. He married Sarah Ann Collins, 4 May 1860 in Lowndes County, Mississippi. They were the parents of at least 6 children. The 1900 Census show that Sarah has had 6 children with 5 still living. After her death in 1901, John married Martha F. Rector, 18 December 1902 in Lamar County, Alabama. Rev. John Richard Robertson died November 29, 1912, Millport, Lamar County, Alabama, United States. He is buried at Shiloh Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery aka Pinhook, Hightogy, Lamar County, Alabama, United States. [2]
