Biography

James was born about 1859 in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland. He was the son of Peter Robertson and Elizabeth Shepherd.

In 1861 James was living at Elgin Colliery, Dunfermline with his parents and siblings.[1]

In 1871 James was living at Townhill, Dunfermline with his parents and siblings.[2]

In 1881 James was living at 3 Whitening Row, Dunfermline with his parents and siblings. He was a coal miner.[3]
