Ronald, thank you for the link to the Phoenix Newspaper. A few years back, our school board decided to drop the Alice Robertson name and call it the “7th and 8th Grade Center.” No one knew what school they were talking about, and soon it became Alice Robertson again. Both of my children went to the original school, and I was often in the building. I often drive by because it is only less than three blocks from my church, but I have not been inside—it does look very large and impressive.
The 1939 constructed school building in Muskogee, Oklahoma named for Alice Robertson was raised in 2020. A new structure opened in 2021 occupying the same lot, incorporating and connecting some recent additions to that original facility. See this Muskogee Phoenix article reporting the final preparations of the renewed Alice Robertson (simply "AR" to students and locals) namesake.
