Cyrus was the son of George Robertson and Mary Smith. He married Pamela Snyder about 1835. Their children were:

1. Cortez Robertson 1837–1916
2. Delina Robertson 1838 - 1914
3. Eugene P Robertson 1841–1916
4. Melissa B Robertson 1846–1934

The family lived in Albion, Calhoun, Michigan.[1] He died in 1881 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Albion, Calhoun County, Michigan.[2]
