Mary was born in 1853. Mary is the child of Rufus Robinson and Mary Ray.[1]
From the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Tuesday, June 11, 1895, page 1: Mrs. Mary E. Hall, wife of G.L. Hall, died early this morning, after a prolonged illness, at the age of 41 years, 7 months and 11 days. The funeral will take place from the family residence, on Fillmore street, Thursday morning, at 9 o'clock. Services will be conducted by Rev. A.M. Elliot. The body will be interred in Woodlawn. Mrs. Hall was a daughter of Rufus E. and Mary Ray Robinson, and was born in Pin Oak township, November 1, 1853. She was united in marriage to G.L. Hall February 18m 1875, and came to Edwardsville in February, 1880, where they have lived since. Four children were born, two of whom, Jennie and Edwin, and also her husband, survive. She was a loving mother, a charitable neighbor and friend, and was highly esteemed by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance. The family has the sympathy of all in their hour of affliction.
