Veteran of the Revolutionary War 1776-1778. Served as Lt. in Col James Wadsworth's Brigade from Durham, and in 1777 was made Capt. in the 10th Militia Regt. under Col. Increase Moseley. Also served as Capt. in Col. Thaddeus Cook's 2nd Battalion.
Capt. James Robinson was buried in Old Durham Cemetery, Durham, Middlesex County, Connecticut
