Biography

Wade H. Robinson was born in Mississippi 20 Apr 1858^[1] to Edward and Susannah (Hall) Robinson.^[2][3][4]

He appears on the 1881 Personal Tax List for Smith County, Mississippi in the town of Taylorsville as paying 1 tax on a male in the household aged 21-55 and is listed as having lived in Copiah County the previous year and as a current resident of Smith County.^[5]And again in 1883 with 1 cattle, 1 pistol, knife or sword, and 1 poll tax.^[6]

He married Susan F./A.^[7] Anderson^[8][9][7] and the couple had the following known children:

1. Annie Robinson was born 09 Sep 1882 in Smith County, Mississippi.^[9]
2. Lucille Ann Robinson was born 10 Nov 1885 in Jones County, Mississippi.^[8]
3. Sallie Ann Robinson was born 30 Oct 1889 in Jasper County, Mississippi.^[7]

Wade died about 25 Jul 1910 and is buried in Oaklawn Cemetery, Hattiesburg, Forrest County, Mississippi. NOTE: No obituary has been found using this date and it should be noted his wife Susan has a marker in the same plot, #320 (as does daughter Annie), in Oaklawn cemetery that has apparently erroneous information as well as her obituary indicates she died in the fall of 1934, but her marker reads Susan H. Robinson 1848-1934, and while she was definitely older than Wade records indicate her birth closer to 1852, thus without further proof of his death and his lack of appearance on a census after 1880, this death is marked as 'about' until further information is located.^[1]
