Biography

Rebecca Robinson, daughter of David Robinson and Rebecca Miller, was born at Durham, Connecticut Colony, on December 5, 1726, and christened there on December 18. She married David Parsons at Granville, Massachusetts Bay, on the 4th of November, 1756.

She died at Granville in early November of 1815.

Research Notes

This profile originally cited the Ricker Compilation of Vital Records of Early Connecticut, page 10810, which like numerous other sources places Rebecca's birth in December of 1727. Note that the recorded birth of her younger brother Timothy on 29 April of 1728 requires that Rebecca be born in December of 1726, not 1727. The 1726 birth is cited in Melatiah Everett's 1898 The Kirbys of New England (see Sources) and is proven by Rebecca's baptismal record (see Sources), which shows that she was christened on 18 December 1726.
