Louisa was born to Robert Robinson and Martha Johnson in England in 1841. Louisa is the 3rd of 8 children born to Robert and Martha.
Together with her parents and four siblings, she migrated to South Australia, Australia, arriving at Port Adelaide in 1850. Another brother was born during the voyage to Australia, with a further brother and sister completing the family once settled in their new country.
She married Richard Newberry Toms on 22 December 1877 at her brother's residence in Gilles Street, Adelaide, South Australia

Their first child, a son, John Ulverston Selway Toms was born in Buchsfelde, South Australia on 26 October 1878

I have been unable to find records of their lives and additional children in the South Australian records. An article about her late mother, Martha, published in the Mount Baker Courier and Gumeracha Advertiser shortly after Martha's death in 1903 says that she was living in the USA at that time so they possibly remained in the USA.
