Ethel was born in 1861. She was the daughter of James Douglas Robinson and Gertrude Fennell.
She was christened on 13 December 1861 at St John, Notting-Hill, Middlesex, England[1].
In the 1881 Scotland Census she was recorded living with her parents, six siblings, and one servant at Rothesay Place, St George, Midlothian, Scotland. She was aged 19.
She married Henry Oliver Duncan Davidson at St Mary, Edinburgh, on 14 Jan. 1886.
England and Wales Census, 1901: Living with her husband Henry (aged 46) and six children Olive (11), Marjorie (11), Malcolm (9), Alastair (7), Angus (3), and baby Douglas at Harrow on the Hill, Middlesex, England. Aged 39.
Her husband died in 1915.
Ethel died in 1953 at the age of 91 and was buried in Nairn Cemetery, Highland, Scotland[2].
Her will was proved on 1 September 1953 in London on the confirmation of Duncan Gordon Davidson, landed proprietor, and Alastair Davidson, captain RN.
