Thomas married Janet Matheson in Two Wells, South Australia on 7 September 1887.^[2] The following marriage notice was published in the South Australian newspaper, The Evening Journal, on 27 September 1887:^[3]

ROBINSON—MATHESON.—On the 7th September, at the residence of the bride's mother, Jovial Villa, Two Wells, by the Rev. Canon Whitington, Thomas William, second son of the late Thomas Robinson, Brookside, Virginia, to Janet, second surviving daughter of the late James Matheson, of Buckland Park.

Thomas died in Felixstow, South Australia on 11 September 1954 at the age of 92 years.^[4] The following death notice was published in the South Australian newspaper, The Mail, on 11 September 1954:^[5]

ROBINSON. — On September 11, at Adelaide (sic), Thomas William, the loved husband of the late Janet Robinson, and loving father of Corelly, Kathleen, Lancelot, of 67 Farrant street. Prospect. Jean, and the late Harold. In his 93rd year.

Thomas was buried at the Mitcham General Cemetery in Mitcham, South Australia on 13 September 1954.^[6]
