James Robinson, Jr., was christened on March 1, 1711, in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts Bay, [1] his parents James Robinson and Patience Ruggles. Some documents give his birth as the same day[2] but (the prior manager included) "family records show his birth the day prior, February 29".[3]
The family removed early to Rochester, south of Boston.
On March 3, 1738, James married Mary Haskell in Rochester, Plymouth County, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[4] No children were born to the union.
I can not explain why James married Elizabeth Smith the next year if Mary lived until 1750, but the next records found are of the births and baptisms for his children with Elizabeth as their mother. We know James moved to western Massachusetts, then Hardwick but now is part of Braintree or New Braintree. The prior profile manager noted and sourced the following but without a membership I cannot yet verify the data: [5] The new couple made their home in the part of Hardwick.[6]
James and Elizabeth would have several children together and a couple that I cannot confirm all dates for but will list and note:

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with James by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with James:
