William J. Robinson, Jr. was born on 9 January 1844 in New York. He was the son of William Robinson, Sr. and Jane Ellis.

In 1851 and 1861 the family lived on a farm in Matilda Township, Dundas, Canada West, near the Christie and Ellis farms.^[1][2]

William J. Robinson, Jr. married Jane Christie (1848-1920) in 1866 in Dundas County, Ontario, Canada.^[3]. They had the following children.

• Mary "Annie" ROBINSON Gray (1868- )^[4]
• Violet ROBINSON (-)
• Carrie R. ROBINSON Henion (1877- )^[5]

On 1 June 1915 he is listed in the New York Census living with his daughter Carrie Henion and her husband Doleman Henion, Jr. in Yonkers, Westchester, New York.^[5]

William Robinson, Jr. died on 1 May 1921 of influenza of 11 days duration in South Mountain, Mountain, Dundas, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 77 years, 3 months, and 20 days. He was buried in the South Mountain Union Cemetery, South Mountain, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry United Counties, Ontario.^[6]
