Sarah's father was a United Empire Loyalist, originally from Virginia. Her family moved from New Brunswick to Québec in 1788.[1] She married York (Toronto) merchant D'Arcy Boulton Jr. in 1808 and had 8 children. Their house, The Grange, was one of the few brick houses in York at the time it was built in 1820.[2]
Sarah was recorded in tax records from 1851[3] to 1856 [4] in Toronto, York, Canada West.
