DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Stephen by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Stephen:
Robinson-9008 and Robinson-3218 appear to represent the same person because: Although the place of birth is different - the year is the same, the spouse and children are the same. The NY Genealogy and Biographical Record on page 207 says that Robert of Oyster Bay - Stephen's father moved to Brookhaven and lived there the rest of his life which would mean his children were more than likely born there. https://archive.org/details/newyorkgenealogiv52gree
