DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
I dropped into this with a merge, Lydia Brinn into Lydia McGuire. I feel I have fixed some of the original problems. I see that there needs to be more sourcing. If I can find some decent sources I will post here before I muck around in this.
Robinson-15128 and Robinson-9583 appear to represent the same person because: Same person. Robinson-9583 is connected to Mark Robinson as a son. This is most likely incorrect. He is also connected to Brinn-13 as husband. Brinn-13 is the same person as McGuire-4000 and I have initiated a merge for those profiles.
Robinson-15128 and Robinson-3701 appear to represent the same person because: I believe that are the same person. I also believe that John Boyd Robinsons parents are Luke Robinson and Christina Ussery.
Robinson-15128 and Robinson-3701 look like the same person. However, Robinson-15128's Biography says that John's father was Nathaniel Nicholas Robinson. Could the profile managers confirm their information and/or work together to resolve this?

I finally rejected this merge, John Robinson, is too common of a name. It is possible they are the same, and/or confused somehow. At this point I feel to merge them now, without more evidence would compound the problem. Robinson-9583 into Robinson-3701

I have followed sons of Luke Robeson and Christian Ussery from North Carolina to Laurens Co. SC before they went to Morgan Co. GA and Jasper Co. GA. Luke married 2nd Obedience Leggett, widow of Wm. Adams. Frances Robeson married Abel Niblett on Jan. 7, 1816 in Morgan Co. GA.
Both John Robinsons have the same mother, the same siblings and show a similar death date. There is no evidence that shows Mark Robinson is the father of John Robinson. There are also no Mark Robinsons further down the family line, but there are a lot of Lukes. John Robinson was married to Lydia Brinn March 30, 1778.
Robinson-3701 and Robinson-9583 do not represent the same person because: Parents are different. Not enough data available to recognise as the same person.
