William Robinson, MISSIONARY, son of John Robinson and Sarah Barnett, was born on the 18th January 1784 in Olney, Buckinghamshire, England.[3]
William married Elizabeth about 1819, probably in India. To this union would be born at least two children; William and John.
William passed away on the 2nd September 1853 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, India.[3]
Having a desire to become a Minister of the Gospel in order to preach it to the Heathen, he was proposed to the Baptist Missionary Society, who, hoping he was formed for Missionary Service, placed him under the Tuition of Mr. Sutcliff in the month of June, 1804.
In July 1805, he was removed to the Academy at Bristol, which he left early in March, 1806; and on Wednesday the 12th of March, at Oxford, he was solemnly designated to the Important Work.
-- Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Jesus Christ.[5]
William Robinson is recorded as the 16th Baptist to be dispatched to India as a Missionary.
--His missionary work was in India, Java and Sumatra
