Biography
Robert Rogers arrived in New England between 1636 and 1640 as a member of the Gorges Company. With him were John Rogers and Christopher Rogers who were certainly closely related and probably brothers. All three were called "Cheddar Men" in letters by Thomas Gorges, all three occur in records together, and Robert specifically calls John his kinsman in an a deposition. He initially settled in the Agamenticus Plantation (now York, Maine). He was certainly still in Agamenticus in 1641, but by 1642 he had removed to Boston, Massachusetts. He is next found in Newbury, Massachusetts where he owned land, his children were born and where he eventually died.
Rogers is mentioned in the court records of Boston 27 May 1643: [At a Quarter Court] The 27th of the 5th Month, 1643. Present, Mr. Governor, Mr. Dudley, Mr. Bellingham, Mr. Hibbens, Increase Nowell.
Samuel Bacon for stealing wine, & other things, was censured to be severely whipped, & to make double restitution, to Mrs. Hull, & his Dame. Robert Rogers was, for receiving stolen wine, being consenting in it, enjoyned to pay Mr. Manning 32s & fined to the Countrey 40s. Miles Tompson for drinking with them, & being privy, was to pay Mr. Manning 16s. Toby Davies being privy, & drinking with them was to pay Mr. Manning 10s. Robert Wyar for drinking with Bacon, being privy to the taking of it, was enjoyned to pay Mr. Manning 4s, Thomas Cooper for drinking, being privy to the manner of taking, it, to pay Mr. Manning 4s.[1]
He married Susanna by 1647 as their first child was born in February 1647/8. This profile currently states she is Susanna Collier and they married on 12 April 1642 - the records to support this LNAB and marriage date are not yet known.[citation needed] They had six children. Following Robert's death, Susanna remarried to William Thomas on 8 March 1665 in Newbury.[2]
Robert Rogers died intestate on 23 December 1663 in Newbury. An inventory of his estate was taken and presented on 27 September 1664. It states he had four children, namely Robert Rogers aged 14 years last April, Thomas Rogers 12 years old last July 12, John Rogers ten years old last month, and Elizabeth Rogers 16 Years old last February.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Robert by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Robert:
I find no Susanna[h] Collier referenced on Ancestry, NEHGS, or FamilySearch in the appropriate time period. I would agree that the wife should be shown as Susanna (Unknown) Rogers.
Added relationship review maintenance category today. His wife's name name at birth in most of the bio, and in the data field are different. The bio says that no sources have yet been found for his marriage date of April 12, 1642 to wife a Susanna Collier.

I always thought merges always merged towards the lower profile number, not the higher, then the selections were made accordingly for the most accurate information between the two profiles. Have I missed something?
Robert Rogers (1617-1663) Arrived in 1640 and qualifies for the (PGM) tag. Can anybody help with this? I'm a newbie and don't quite know how to push this profile forward for (PGM) Inclusion.
